Our International Accredited Training Centres

Our commitment to education…

Driven by a clear vision to continuously raise the standards of the beauty industry through the promotion of academic excellence and vocational skill competencies, SI is committed to a mission of creating qualified, knowledgeable, independent and competent Health and Beauty Therapists with a positive mental attitude.

As an ISO 9001:2008 certified academy, SI is accredited by international examination board of CIBTAC (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology, UK), CIDESCO (Comite International d’Esthetic et Cosmetologie, Zurich) and IFA (International Federation of Aromatherapy, UK).
SI is also nationally accredited by the national department of skills development (JPK) under the Human Resource Ministry and the courses offered are SI’s own programmes – the Aesthetic Therapy Diploma and International Professional Make-Up Artistry diplomas, and diplomas awarded by JKP, CIBTAC and CIDESCO.

CIBTAC is recognised in over 150 schools in more than 18 countries worldwide and is the most reputable qualification in the beauty industry with over 25 years of establishment and there are over 160 schools offering CIDESCO globally as the diploma is one of the world’s most prestigious qualification in the field of aesthetics and beauty therapy.

To provide opportunities for Malaysian students to achieve higher qualifications, SI collaborates with the Chisholm Institute of TAFE (Technical and Further Education, Australia).

The collaboration allows SI students to transfer their credits to Chisholm TAFE to obtain a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Bachelor in Health Science (Dermal Therapies) at Victoria University (Melbourne) – a first for any Malaysian academy.
In acknowledgement of such glowing credentials, the Tourism Ministry appointed SI as its official Centre of Excellence (CoE) to train spa therapists in Malaysia.

There are currently only two CoE in the country.Another noteworthy mention is Madam Stella and Helene Jean’s active involvement as panelists tasked by the Human Resource Ministry to come up with the National Occupational Skills Standard – a series of guidelines for the beauty industry so that those in the industry will be obliged to adhere to set standards.

SI was recently listed by Asia Spa Magazine, a leading publication in the industry, as among the region’s top academies alongside big names like Japan’s Takara International Esthetic College in Tokyo and it’s the only establishment to have received the excellence award for running the JPK’s aesthetic therapist programme in an extensive nationwide quality audit.

SI is now allowed to take in international students for the JPK programme.
